We sang.

We ate cake.

Lots of cake.

We opened the gifts.

And we were spoiled rotten.

Campbell made off like a bandit this year. (and Isn't that the way it's supposed to be for the big 1st?) Don't you love his battery powered ATV machine?! It actually works, and he's finally figured out you have to push the button to make it go.

I have to brag about the wagon full of giant Legos on the right... and this may label me as cheapo mom of the year but... it was a whole 5 dollars at the good will! It's seriously in mint condition without the $40 price tag.

Campbell's other new mess makers include: a set of classic, old fashioned, wooden alphabet blocks (my personal favorite). Big, blue, rubber, bouncy ball (not featured in photo), A set of toy rings, 2 sets of Tonka cars, a "little people" truck, 4 outfits, those blocks where they try and put a square one into the triangle hole and whatnot, and two adoreable books.

This morning in his first act of one year old rebelion, Campbell found this binkie (the frightening thought is... where?) and has decided to revert back to 6 months ago when he weaned himself and refused (to my dismay) to take it anylonger. He now will not give it back.

Campbell, I know it's tough growing up.
The first birthday is always a big one!
And I know you want to stay my little bug forever.

But seriously? Give it up.
